1. After determining the screening area, the screening width should be at least 2.5-3 times the size of the largest material block to avoid the screening being stuck by a large block of boredom.

2. In order to keep the sieve in good working condition, the aspect ratio of the sieve should be selected within the range of 2-3.

3. Choose reasonable screen material and structure to suit the working conditions.

4. In order to determine the size of the sieve hole, for the fine sieve and the curved sieve, the sieve size of the linear vibrating screen for the fine sieve is 2-2.2 times the separation size. The maximum is not more than 3 times; the sieve size of the vibrating screen is 1.2 times the separation size of medium-grain materials; the sieve size of coarse-grain materials is 1.05 times the separation size.

5. It is necessary to determine whether to choose a double-layer screen or a multi-layer screen. When the screen material has a wide particle size range, the use of a double-layer screen as a single-layer screen can improve the processing capacity of the screen machine, protect the lower screen, and prolong the service life of the lower screen. The size of the upper sieve of the double-layer screen should generally be determined according to the characteristics of the feed particle size. The mesh size should be determined according to the mesh size of the upper screen, which is 55-65% of the original feed.

6. When determining the effective working area of the screen. The screen area calculated according to the requirements of the production process is the effective area of the screen, and the size of the screen is the nominal area of the screen. The effective screening area of a vibrating screen used for screening medium-sized materials should be 0.8-0.85 times the nominal area of the screen. Of course, this is closely related to the opening of the mesh on the surface of the screen.
