Filter residue will form on the filter cloth until the filter chamber is filled to form a filter cake. The filtrate passes through the filter cloth and flows along the groove of the filter plate to the lower liquid outlet channel to discharge it. After the filtration is completed, the filter residue can be washed with washing water. After cleaning, compressed air is sometimes introduced to remove residual cleaning fluid. After filtering, turn on the box filter press to remove the filter cake (the filter cake is stored between two adjacent filter plates), clean the filter cloth, and then press the filter plate again to start the next working cycle.
The filter cloth is fixed on the plate frame, which is the early form of the main filter press. The main advantage of the box filter press is that it is easy to change the filter cloth. The disadvantage is that the efficiency is low, the filtering effect is poor, and the filter plate is easily damaged; the filter chamber of the filter is composed of two adjacent concave filter plates, and the filter cloth is fixed on each filter plate. The main advantages of box filter press are high efficiency, good effect and relatively durable filter plate. (Under the same conditions), but with a high degree of automation, there is a device for automatically cleaning the filter cloth, and the frequency of replacing the filter cloth is not frequent.

Hydraulic part is a power unit that drives the pressure plate to press or release the filter plate, and is equipped with a plunger pump and various control valves. When pressing the filter plate, press the "press" button, the motor starts, the piston rod moves forward, and presses the filter plate; when the oil pressure rises to the upper limit of the electric contact pressure gauge, the upper limit of the electric contact pressure gauge is turn on. Stop the pump; at this time, the filter press enters the automatic pressure holding state. When the oil pressure drops to the lower limit set by the electric contact pressure gauge, the plunger pump will restart to ensure the working pressure required for filtering; under the "back" button, the motor starts, the piston rod drives the pressure plate to return, and releases the filter plate ; When the "pull board" button is pressed, the robot will automatically reciprocate the board, and when a board is pulled, it will be installed on the thrust plate main board. Touch the travel switch on the beam and the robot will return automatically. When the robot returns to the starting position, the travel switch will be activated and stop automatically.
